Neomarica caerulea (Apostle’s Iris)

Neomarica caerulea is a rhizomatous plant that is native to Brazil. It has attractive fans of green foliage with a tinge of grey that grow to 1m tall. It has beautiful blue iris-like flowers that have the most amazing colour and detail. The strikingly beautiful flowers appear above the foliage in late spring. It is best grown in well drained soil and flowers best when in full sun although it will tolerate part shade.

Uses: Can be used as a feature plant in the garden to add some texture and colour. Also suitable for pots.
